I  have always had a love for the Mountains of East Tennessee where I was born and raised.  I quickly learned to appreciate the beauty of the natural world.  I learned early that wood not only made a great fire for cooking and heat, but it also had a beauty of its own.  I spent years exploring the different types of wood and the things that could be crafted from it.  I was aware of the technique of using a wood lathe and bought my first one 10 years ago.  This I discovered opened a whole new avenue for creativity.  Please look over some of my turnings on the following pages.
